Attleboro, MA - The 95 Giants Hockey Club is excited to share that our 2008 Elite Team has earned a spot in the Elite 9 Hockey League for the third consecutive season. Each season, all members of the Boston Hockey League participate in a parity round to earn a spot in the Elite 9 Division, the BHL American Conference, or the BHL National Conference. For the third consecutive season, our 2008 Elites came out of the parity round at the top, and punched their ticket to the Elite 9 Division where they will compete for the 2020-21 season.
In the opening weekend of parity, the '08 Elites cruised past the Boston Jr. Rangers and the Seacoast Spartans, and advanced to the second weekend of parity. After a hard fought battle against the Worcester Jr Railers ended in a 4-2 loss, the '08 Elites rebounded with a big 6-4 win over the Casco Bay Mariners. Sitting at 3-1, the '08 Elites needed to win one of two games in the third weekend of parity to solidify one of the spots in the Elite 9 Division. It only took the team one game, as they cruised past the Cape Cod Seahawks by a score of 5-2 and earned their spot in the top division.
Congratulations to the 95 Giants 2008 Elite Team on a great few weekends of parity, and we are excited to see our group excel at the highest level again this coming season!
