Ryan Kuzmich, Jacob Urban, and Jake Willis headline the long list of 95 Giants players who will be graduating from the program and taking the jump to junior hockey next season, after another strong season for the 95 Giants U18 Full Season Team.
Ryan Kuzmich (pictured above) was drafted in the 10th Round of the 2019 NAHL Entry Draft by the Northeast Generals, and will be playing next season with the club. Ryan was our leading scorer this past season for the U18 Full Season team. "Ryan is ready for the next level, and we are all very proud of all that he has accomplished," said GM Rob Liberatore. "While he will be missed both on the ice and around the rink, our job is to prepare our players to advance to the next level and I am confident that Ryan will not only contribute next season at the NAHL level, but will be extremely impactful. They are getting a great player and a great kid," Liberatore added.
Jacob Urban, who served as the starting goaltender on the U18 Full Season team last year, has tendered in the NAHL with the Wilkes/Barre Scranton Knights. This means that he signed over his NAHL rights to the Knights, and has been added to their protected list with the assumption that he ends up on the final roster. Jacob was a brick wall in net for us all season, and the Knights are getting a competitor who knows how to stop the puck.
Jake Willis, who hails from Syracuse, NY, has committed to play junior hockey next season in the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL) for the Nepean Raiders in Ontario. The CCHL is a strong league north of the border, and Jake will fit in extremely well there.
Additionally, Joe Martin has made the 30-Man roster with the Soo Eagles in the NAHL and is competing for a final roster spot.
We are extremely proud of all of these players, as well as many others that are in the process of finalizing their next step, and look forward to watching them succeed in the future!
